Parmesan Basil Farmhouse Crackers By Kari Lewis

Ingredients

  • 1½ cup Gary’s True Grit™ Einkorn Flour
  • 1½ teaspoons cream of tartar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1–2 tablespoons dried basil
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup water
  • 1–2 drops Basil Vitality™ essential oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons organic evaporated cane juice crystals
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine first six ingredients and mix well. Add oil and stir until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add water and Basil Vitality and stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together egg, cane juice crystals, and vinegar. Set aside.
  4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll out very thin. Brush with egg mixture. Use cookie cutters to make any cracker shape you like or cut into squares with a paring knife. Transfer to baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, depending on size and thickness of your crackers, then broil until lightly browned.
  6. Store in an airtight container. If the crackers pick up moisture and lose their crispness, just bake them briefly in a 250°F oven for a few minutes.

Einkorn Biscuits Recipe By Heidi Ellis

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add butter and use a pastry cutter to break into small pieces as quickly as possible so butter does not melt. Mixture should resemble coarse meal.
  3. Add honey to milk and mix thoroughly. Gradually stir milk mixture into flour mixture, until dough pulls away from side of bowl.
  4. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead 10–15 times. Roll out dough into a 1-inch thick sheet and cut with a cookie cutter or large upside-down glass. Repeat until all dough is used.
  5. Brush off the excess flour and place biscuits onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 13–15 minutes or until edges begin to brown.

DIY Lavender Makeup Remover Pads

Mar 30th, 2016 | Category: Young Living Product Blog

When it’s time to recover from a long day, it’s best to climb into bed with a fresh face. Scrubbing with ineffective or harsh removers can do more damage than good though, especially near the sensitive eye area where the skin is thinner and more prone to fine lines and irritation.

Instead of harsh makeup removers, opt for gentle DIY makeup remover pads infused with Lavender essential oil. You’ll know exactly what goes into this formula, plus you’ll get the benefits of Lavender’s relaxing aroma. Use the instructions below to add them to your nighttime routine.

DIY Lavender Makeup Remover Pads
To Make
  1. Pour V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex, Lavender oil, witch hazel, and water into jar. Tighten lid and shake thoroughly.
  2. Place 10 or so cotton rounds in the glass container, tighten lid, and rotate until solution soaks into cotton pads.
  3. Print labels on a sticker sheet or on paper and affix with glue. Place label on container lid.
To Use

Remove one wipe and squeeze out excess liquid. Gently blot or wipe over closed eyelids until makeup is removed.
