What do members have to say about our newest products?
Jun 27th, 2016 | Category: Young Living Product BlogOne of the most exciting things about our International Grand Convention is getting to try the new products first! Our members had the opportunity to try these products for themselves, and we asked for their thoughts about the newest additions to our lineup.
What products are you excited about from the new product lineup?
I like the new Cool Azul® Pain Relief Cream. It’s very refreshing when I put it on. I put in on both knees for the nice cooling sensation, and a little on my neck helps cool me down instantly.
I think the Thieves product line is incredible. I love the Cinnamon, Clove, Eucalyptus, Rosemary, and Lemon and everything else they do with it. I’m going to continue to use anything new that comes in the Thieves line.
What are your thoughts on the new Einkorn Granola?
I absolutely love it! The texture is great; the flavor is great. I’m excited about it! I can’t wait to buy it, and I hope I can buy it in bulk.
What new products have you tried so far?
I’ve tried the new Live Your Passion™ oil. It smells fantastic. The main product for me and I think for Austria is the Thieves® Automatic Dishwasher Powder. It’s really great and it smells fantastic.
How do you see yourself using the new products in your business?
I’ve never been with a company that really listens to what their people want. This is the first company I’ve ever been with that does that kind of thing—they actually care. I had posted in feedback that it would be nice if we had some kind of pain cream—and here is it!
What products are you excited about?
I’m excited about Cool Azul® Pain Relief Cream. I’ve got some kids in dance, and I’m always on my feet and on the go, so that helps a lot. And the Thieves® Automatic Dishwasher Powder. I’ve tried to make DIY versions myself, and they have not worked, so I’m really excited about using that in our dishwasher. That’s the only thing I haven’t really purged out of my house.
How do you see yourself using these products at home?
Thieves® is a no-brainer because we’ve already incorporated all the other Thieves products into our household, so that’s an easy one. Especially as a mom who is about to have her third baby, I’m also really excited about the Slique® Shake because I feel like that will make a really easy meal on the go or in the morning.
I’m really excited about our new line of performance products for athletes because I just planned to start training for bodybuilding in July.
The Animal Scents® Dental Pet Chews are pretty exciting because I think that’s a market that we need to be more aware of. People love their pets like they love their family, so why not go into that market and support our pets because they’re our loves as well.
Hear members talk about the product for yourself! We featured them on this Drop of Inspiration Convention QuickCast from 4:38 to 9:02.

Jun 20th, 2016 | Category: Young Living Product BlogA productive day isn’t just about getting a lot done, it’s about getting the important stuff done—and it doesn’t happen by accident. You need to have an effective plan in place for annihilating that to-do list and finding greater satisfaction in life as a result. Here are some tips and tricks to help you do just that:
Sometimes we’re not productive because we don’t know where to start. Take five minutes the night before or first thing in the morning to prioritize your day and make a clear plan of action. While planning, try diffusing an inspiring blend like Highest Potential™ and make sure to ask yourself: “Will this task get me closer to what I want to achieve?”
Set yourself up for success each day by creating and sticking to a good morning routine. Rise early and eat a healthy breakfast, exercise, or tackle a nagging task. This productive jump-start will set the tone for the rest of your day. Need a little extra help getting out of bed? Try diffusing a bright, sunny scent like Citrus Fresh™ to help make early mornings more pleasant. Check out the YL Blog Recipe tab or Healthy Fit tab for more ideas to better your morning routine.
If you could get only one task completed today, what would it be? Make that task your No. 1 priority. Time and energy are limited resources, so don’t procrastinate! You don’t want to run out of steam before getting to the things that really matter. Diffuse Brain Power™ essential oil blend to help promote a sense of clarity and focus when you need it most.
-
Take it one at a time
Multitasking is actually less productive than you might think. Research shows that the brain can only successfully focus on one thing at a time. Give each task your full and undivided attention to get it done as efficiently as possible. Then move on to the next item on your list and do the same.
Make sure to have a plan for dealing with distractions as they come along. For example, take a quick inhale of Surrender™ essential oil blend to help cast off inhibitions that may be limiting your potential. You can also keep an idea book close by to record distracting thoughts and ideas so you can come back to them at the right time.
Focusing on one thing for too long can actually cause you to get less done. Take short, designated breaks to keep your mind fresh and on task. Pushups, meditation, yoga, and even the fresh, rejuvenating aroma of essential oils like En-R-Gee™ or Jade Lemon™ can all help you do a quick reset. Just make sure to set a strict time frame for your break or that brief meditation session could easily turn into a three-hour nap.
Even the best planned days can get turned upside down when life throws a curve ball. Having your list of tasks close by is a great way to readjust and reprioritize when things don’t go as planned. Diffuse a calming oil like Lavender and remember that as long as you’re making the best use of the time that you have available, you are having a productive day. Consult your task list whenever you have free time and select the most appropriate task to complete.
Make sure to also include time to rest and recharge in that busy schedule. Apply Stress Away™ to your wrists and reflect on your day—the parts that worked well and the parts that didn’t. Readjust to continue moving toward being as productive as possible. Not only will this help you get more done, but it’s also a great chance to let your mind unwind and decompress. Take the time to celebrate all you’ve accomplished and reward yourself for the hard work you’ve put in!

Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Serving Size: Makes 4 round 8-inch waffles

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups Gary’s True Grit™ Gluten-Free Pancake and Waffle Mix
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 8 ounces plain whole milk yogurt (preferably with a loose consistency)
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup melted coconut oil (plus more for waffle iron)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups frozen wild blueberries
- ⅓ cup unfiltered honey
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and coconut sugar. In another bowl, whisk together yogurt, eggs, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth. - Serve immediately topped with the Lemon-Lavender Blueberry Syrup.

Jun 13th, 2016 | Category: Young Living Product BlogThere’s nothing worse than the feeling of dirty, greasy hair, but did you know that washing your hair too often can leave hair prone to dryness and breakage? It’s easy to keep your locks looking lustrous and lifted and extend time between washes by applying a dry shampoo! Using ingredients you already have in your cupboards such as corn starch and baking soda, this DIY Dry Shampoo is free of harsh parabens, dyes, and perfumes that can damage hair and cause breakage. Cornstarch absorbs excess oil, while baking soda and Cedarwood, Rosemary, and Tea Tree essential oils make hair smell fresh and support the qualities of a healthy scalp.
You can experiment with your own blend of essential oils to find a scent that works best for you! We love Lavender, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, and Peppermint for their wonderful aromas and various skin-care benefits. If you decide to add cocoa for dark hair, try using oils that complement the scent of chocolate like Orange, Peppermint, or Cinnamon.

Jun 9th, 2016 | Category: Young Living Product BlogThe decision to use essential oils during pregnancy can be a difficult one. There are a wide variety of opinions on the matter, often with conflicting and confusing claims.
For example, some women choose to avoid excessive use of these specific oils:
- Clary Sage or Sage
- Idaho Tansy or Hyssop
- Fennel
- Wintergreen
- Blends and supplements that contain these oils
However, essential oil usage is a personal choice, and there are no hard-and-fast rules. Just be sure to follow label directions and consult a medical professional with essential oil experience to be as safe as possible. When used correctly, essential oils can help form a beautiful bond between motherhood and Mother Nature.
For more information on how to safely use essential oils, check out our Essential Oil Safety Guide.

Read more...Get Your Glow On: 3 Tips for Great-Looking Skin
Jun 8th, 2016 | Category: Young Living Product BlogReady to show off a little skin this summer? All this warm weather has us trading in our jeans for cool shorts, our sweaters for tees, and boots for sandals. Your skin will glow this season with our simple tips for keeping it looking luminous and healthy!
-
Exfoliate
Your skin is constantly working to regenerate. As this process happens, dead skin cells move to the surface. Buildup of dead skin cells can dull your complexion and suck up the moisture and benefits from your skin care products. As you get older, this process slows, increasing buildup.
That’s where exfoliation comes in. Using a gentle exfoliator one to three times a week removes dead skin, helping your inner beauty shine through. Pay attention to how your skin reacts, though, since over-exfoliation can irritate the skin and cause reddening—you know your skin best!
We love our new Lavender-Oatmeal Bar Soap for gently exfoliating your body with oat bran, leaving your skin feeling soft and supple.
If you prefer using a body gel, try using an exfoliating glove or a gentle salt scrub as part of your shower routine.
-
Moisturize
Once you’ve exfoliated, give back to your skin with your favorite moisturizer! Moisturizer is the easiest way to get back your glow while helping your skin look and feel softer and smoother.
Moisturize immediately after bathing by patting your skin dry with a towel, locking in moisture. Give the sensitive skin on your face added hydration with our ART® Light Moisturizer or brighten and even the appearance of skin tone with Sheerlumé™. If you already use a facial moisturizer you love but love the benefits of essential oils, try mixing a small amount of Frankincense or Cedarwood to your daily application of liquid foundation to help your skin look dewy all day long.
Increase the moisture in the air of your workspace with a humidifying diffuser like our Dewdrop™, Home, or Bamboo diffusers.
-
Take care of yourself
Look and feel your best by following these three easy tips:
Sleep
Your grandmother’s beauty sleep is one of the best ways to rejuvenate your body and skin every single day. The Mayo Clinic has a great resource to see how much sleep you need each night, depending on your age and other factors.
Hydrate
Like the rest of your body, your skin dries out when you aren’t drinking enough water. Ensure you stay hydrated by keeping a reusable, spill-proof water bottle on hand at your desk, running errands, or even around the house. Flavor your water by infusing it with Vitality essential oils and fruit. You’ll love the burst of flavor, and your body will love the hydration!
Eat Healthy
Give your body the nutrients it needs! Research suggests that eating a diet full of antioxidant-rich foods like carrots, apricots, leafy greens, tomatoes, blueberries, legumes, fatty fish, and nuts can help improve your overall health and with it, your skin’s appearance.
This summer, be confident in your own beautiful skin! These easy tips are just a few ways to start, if you haven’t already.
