Drops for dreamland: 10 essential oil tips for your bedtime routine

Think back on the last time you snapped at a loved one, struggled through simple tasks, neglected a workout, and made poor food choices to boot. Chances are you had too little sleep the night before and that the sleep you did get was restless. When we can’t sleep, poor rest’s ugly effects creep into all the other areas of our lives. There’s no need to pry those eyelids open any longer, friends! These tips, combined with the soothing and calming aromas of essential oils that work best for helping you get to sleep, will have you tuckered out in no time.


1. Best essential oil scents for sleep

The relaxing and calming aroma of some oils can create an environment that helps make hitting the hay a walk in the park. Diffuse any of these on their own or in a comforting blend or apply them topically as part of your nighttime routine to help ease yourself into sweet dreams.


2. Essential oils for relaxation

Sometimes falling asleep isn’t a matter of not being tired but about tossing and turning, unable to turn off our minds, thanks to life’s big and little stressors. Essential oils for when you are in a bad mood

If you’ve had a rough day at work, you spent an hour in traffic, the person in front of you at the grocery store was taking forevvvvver, or maybe all of the above, you have plenty of reasons to feel cranky. We know life can’t always be full of Joy™, but if there are any tips for turning off our testiness, it’s worth a try! Use these mood-boosting tips with some of our favorite essential oils next time you’re feeling like a grump!


Meditate

Turn off your phone, computer, tablet, and exist only in the present moment. This is time to clear your thoughts of experiences that may be causing sadness or anger and to pause your mind from looking to the future, as projecting onto the unknown can create anxious feelings.

  • Diffuse Frankincense and Vetiver essential oils to create an uplifting and welcoming environment of relaxation. You may choose to write in a journal, sit comfortably, or do some gentle yoga to help clear your mind.
  • Some of our favorite essential oils for meditation include Sacred Mountain™, Myrrh, Clarity, and Present Time™. Spa Foot Soak

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup Epsom salt

  • Warm water

Directions:

Spend time with others

  • Kick a soda craving by adding Tangerine Vitality™ to water. You’ll curb your sweet tooth, and proper hydration is key to feeling great.

I’ve been holding back my feelings for some time, but I can’t stay silent any longer. I must tell you…I love you! Your enticing aroma, your exotic origins, and your relaxing presence all make me fall for you more deeply each day.
