Sweet and Savory: Healthy Thanksgiving Recipes

Traditional dishes bring fond memories of past holidays—along with excess calories and refined sugars. Today we want to share a few variations of classic recipes that incorporate Young Living products and provide an extra boost of nutrition!
Agave Roasted Sweet Potatoes
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Blue Agave
- 4 drops Cinnamon Bark essential oil
- 1 drop Black Pepper essential oil
- Fine sea salt (to taste)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In a medium bowl, mix Blue Agave, olive oil, Cinnamon Bark essential oil, Black Pepper essential oil, and salt to create a glaze. Add the sweet potatoes to the glaze and stir until evenly coated. Arrange the sweet potatoes onto a large rimmed baking sheet. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven and roast for approximately 25–30 minutes, turning the sweet potatoes halfway through.
Garlic and Thyme Creamy Mash
- 1 ½ lbs. cauliflower florets
- ¼ cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- 3 roasted garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon fresh chives, chopped
- ½ scoop Power Meal
- 2 drops Thyme essential oil
- 1–2 drops Black Pepper essential oil (to taste)
- Fine sea salt (to taste)
Directions
Steam the cauliflower for approximately 6–8 minutes, until the florets are tender when pierced with a fork. Drain the steamed cauliflower and transfer to food processor. Combine remaining ingredients and process to your desired texture.
